Mouse and Rat Control with Entry-Point Sealing

The decision most White Marsh homeowners face is not which company to call — it is whether to buy recurring bait service or buy sealing once. Quarterly bait-only service is cheaper per visit and keeps numbers down, and it makes sense for a commercial unit in the White Marsh Business Community with loading doors that stay open and dumpsters twenty feet away, where the pressure from outside never stops. Season matters. Field mice move indoors hard from October through February, and the pressure is heaviest on homes bordering open ground — the field edges near Honeygo Run Regional Park, the drainage and brush lines running toward Gunpowder Falls State Park at Days Cove, and any lot still adjacent to unbuilt Greenleigh parcels. Rat activity is different: rats follow food and water, so calls cluster around commercial corridors near White Marsh Mall, The Avenue at White Marsh, and the Honeygo Boulevard retail strip, plus residential garages where pet food or birdseed sits in bags.

What we do not do: we do not drop bait in a crawlspace and call it a program, we do not seal a wall while rodents are still active inside it, and we do not count expanding foam as a seal, because mice chew straight through it. Sealing uses metal, hardware cloth, mortar, or door sweeps — materials rodents cannot gnaw. Trapping runs first or alongside sealing so the animals inside are removed, not entombed.
